OK I just bought a new laptop with Windows 7 on it. I am used to using Windows XP so there are definitely some things I don't know how to do here! I love the new search box, but where is an equivalent of My Computer if I need to browse through a list of files, select a file, and copy and paste it somewhere else? Any other general things a new blindy should know when switching to Windows 7? Thanks.

When you hit the start menu key you just have to tab once and you will be in a list that contains "My Computer". Also if you wish from there you can put an icon onto your desktop should you wish. Just hit the applications key and arrow up to "Show on Desktop".

Dan.

Get on the start press the Windows key. Pass the search box with the arrow keys and use the left right up and down arrow to look about. You'll learn much by doing. Windowss 7 has so many ways it could be configured it is difficult to say. Cancing Dots has a file that talks about making it more accessible for screen readers. It was written for using recording software, but applies to anything. I personally don't agree with all the settings, but its a great file to have. Interested let me know and I'll send it to you. Its to large to post I think.
